Gary Thomas

Gary  is a senior health care executive with 20+ years of experience.   Prior to co-founding HealthShare360, Inc.,  Gary was President of Aetna's Joint Venture Markets, responsible for strategic joint venture partnerships with providers that deliver high-quality, affordable healthcare. In this role, Mr. Thomas led joint venture strategy and development, business model design, governance, operations and financial management.

Gary has served in several important leadership and P/L roles, including healthcare delivery, medical economics and finance.    He was Chief Operating Officer of Aetna's Accountable Care Solutions (ACS), where he had direct responsibility for ACS strategy and operations, including P/L management, product development, distribution, provider contract consulting and implementation, account management, customer service, analytics, reporting, and value engineering.   During his tenure, ACS grew by more than 950,000 members.

In addition, Gary served as President of Aetna's Medicare Division.   In this highly visible role, he managed Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Part D lines of business, which served more than 1.1 Million customers and produced $6.1 Billion in annual revenues.  Immediately prior, Gary was Vice President of Field Operations for Aetna's Consumer Segment, with accountability for profit and loss across Aetna's six regional territories. 

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Neumann College.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Wheeler Clinic.
